New York Airport - JFK (John F. Kennedy International Airport)

JFK (John F. Kennedy International Airport) - the largest international airport in the United States, located in the area of Queens in the southeastern part of New York City. The airport is a leader in passenger and cargo flows from abroad into the United States, and is used for internal communication.

The airport has 9 terminals. Service for travelers is located in Terminal 4. It has 11 passenger gates and a total area of 139 500 square meters. m. This is a three-level terminal - the only one in JFK, which operates around the clock. In the departure lounge on the upper level, four "islands" of 36 check-in desks in each. They allow you to service 2,800 passengers per hour. At the middle level are the railway station and shopping area with total area of 9300 sq. m. On the lower level of the arrival hall, marked by a huge sculpture in the form of a question mark, there are 52 inspection points and 20 stations for American customs. Railway:

JFK’s AirTran connects the airport with the regional railway system and operates 24 hours a day. From any terminal, the AirTran takes you to the “A” train, at Station Howard Beach, as well as to long-term parking and car rental stations. Also the AirTran takes you to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), at station Jamaica.

Taxi:

Parking Dispatch Stands are conveniently located outside all terminals in the areas of arrival. Just follow the signs to Taxi Dispatch Booth. The Taxi Dispatcher will put you in the very first free taxi, will give you a ticket with the date, the terminal, and the taxi number. Please keep this ticket in case of forgotten personal items, complaints etc.

Bus:

Q10 Bus: +1 (631) 423 6666. Serviced by Green Bus Line; for transportation to Queens. You can get to the A, E, F and R subway lines at Lefferts Blvd stop, as well as Kew Gardens. The bus stop is near the terminal building at the arrival zone.
Q3 Bus: +1 (718) 330-1234. Served by New York City Transit; for transportation to Queens. Takes you to the F and R subway lines, at 169th St. and Hillside Ave station. The bus stop is located on the west side of the access road of Terminal 4.
B15 Bus: +1 (718) 330-1234. Served by New York City Transit; for transportation to East New York, Brooklyn. You can get to New Lots and Livonia Aves. The bus stop is located on the west side of the access road of Terminal 4.
Trans-Bridge Lines: (800) 962-9135 or (610) 868-6001. Three times a day to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, 42nd ST. & 8th Ave. in Manhattan. The bus stop is in front of Terminal 4 on the access road.
New York Airport Express Service Bus: +1 (718) 875-8200. Leaves every 20-30 minutes. You can get to the Bus Terminal, Grand Central Station, and Penn Station. The bus stop is located at the stop Express Bus Stop at each terminal.
 
Services at the airport : Each terminal offers the widest range of services: bank branches, currency exchange offices, ATMs, bars, restaurants, post offices, shops, duty-free reservation service for hotels and car rental.

Business services: In the airport terminals, you can use fax machines, computers, photocopying equipment, and courier service. All of these services are publicly available in all terminals except the 5th and 6th, in which the services are available only for participants of special programs of airlines or the airport. Facilities for conferences are located in Terminal 7.

Tel. +1 718 244 4444 You can listen to information about the airport and its services, including parking, lost and found, information on what transportation to take and where, as well as talk with an operator. Workers of the airport services are easily recognizable by a red jacket. They speak many languages and are ready to help you with advice and information. All terminals also have a reference book with helpful phone numbers and information.

Information about subways can be obtained free of charge by calling +1-800-247-7433. The operator answers questions from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 18:00 (local time), other times you can listen to the information through a recording.
